South Side Low Lift SPS Upgrades

Project Scope:
The job consisted of the Removal of existing and installation of new pumps, motors, piping, valves, electrical lighting and equipment. The Installation of a new odour control system for the wet well of the pump station and a new transformer to supply power to the larger pump motors and other electrical loads in the facility. The project also included a new outdoor fuel tank, and a new free-standing stack outside the generator building.

Lorne Thomas Pumping Station

Project Scope:
Lorne Thomas Pumping Station

Pumping station construction from empty field to service new residential housing development. The project consists of the installation and construction of a new pumping station including the installation of three dry pit submersible sewage pumps, all process piping and valving, the installation of ventilation equipment, monorail lifting system, process instrumentation, and a standby natural gas generator set. St Thomas WWTP Aeration Upgrade

Project Scope:
The Project Consists of the removal of two (2) blowers from the blower building and the removal of the existing aeration system and piping in Plants 2 and 3. The installation of two (2) Turbo Blowers and ceramic disc diffuser systems and piping for Plants 2 and 3. Beaver Creek Sewage Pumping Station  
Location: Waterloo  |  Completed: Sept 2015
Project Scope:
The project involved site modifications which included re-routing a 200mm diameter gravity sewer around the existing wet well, new water service, new hydrant, and additional asphalt for servicing the new valve chamber. Wet well modifications including the replacement of all inlet slide gates and level controls, and modifications to ladders, benching and piping in order to install larger pumps. Control building upgrades including the replacement of the existing generator, fuel system upgrades, and replacement of the PLC and MCCs. The installation of a new cast-in-place reinforced concrete valve chamber structure with flat roof, with motorized control valves, manual isolation valves, horizontal check valves, and flowmeters to monitor and control the flow of sewage through the pumping station in an operator friendly environment, with stairway access. The project also involved forcemain connections to the new valve chamber and the removal of the existing flow meter chamber and original buried forcemain piping.
   
   
   
Cambridge WMWS Upgrades  
Location: Cambridge, ON  |  Completed: February 2018
Project Scope:
The project involved site work modifications including earthworks, grading, filling and modifications to domestic water supply and fire supply line piping. The supply and installation of new chain link fence, with a gate and automatic access gates complete with card readers, a new outdoor generator in a sound-attenuated outdoor enclosure complete with all electrical connections as required for a fully functioning standby power system. The project also consisted of the supply and installation of a fully functional pre-cast concrete building, concrete floor and foundation.
Morningside

Project Scope:
The Project Consists of the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of temporary pumping station bypass system, temporary winterization system (insulation, heat tracing) of
bypass piping/pumps to ensure freezing protection, new stainless steel piping, pipe supports, hangers and valves inside pumping station. The removal/demolition of existing slide gates, and replacement with new ones. Port Weller WWTP Grit Upgrades  
Location: St. Catherines, ON  |  Completed: August 2019
Project Scope:
The project consisted of the removal and disposal of the two existing grit removal mechanisms, the two existing air blowers, the two existing grit system support bridges, and the checker plate covers over the two grit vortex tanks. The project also involved the supply and installation of the two replacement grit removal systems to provide a complete and functional system to remove grit from the influent wastewater at Port Weller.
Kleinburg Water Pollution Control Plant Upgrades  
Location: Kleinburg, ON  |  Completed: Spring 2017
Project Scope:
The project consists of modifications to the existing flow diversion storage tank including extending the existing diffuser piping and the removal of the existing chlorine contact tank.

The removal of the existing coarse bubble diffusers in the aeration tanks of the circular secondary treatment plant, replacing with new fine bubble diffusers and the removal and replacement of the existing circular clarifier.

The project also included the removal of the existing walls at the sludge holding tanks including sluice gates, piping, pipe supports, New helical scum skimmers in the rectangular secondary clarifiers, the design, supply and installation of the insulated covers at the rectangular secondary clarifiers and the removal of the existing water flushing system and replacement with new air scouring/flushing system.

   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
Caledon East S.P.S. Upgrades

Project Scope:
The work consists of the demolition and removal of existing Caledon East Well 2 groundwater well building, the well control building and associated equipment, underground valve chamber and watermain. The Installation of a pre-cast swab and bypass chamber as well as the installation of two pre-cast concrete emergency overflow chambers with associated access risers, overflow piping and emergency overflow manholes.
Medora Street Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades

Project Scope:
New Operations Building, including;

- Process tankage for biological and membrane filter treatment
- Existing process tank modifications for solids processing
- Modifications to existing Control Building
- Yard piping and new access road
- Septage/haulage waste receiving station with a VFD equipped submersible chopper pump
- 2 train biological treatment system, each train consisting of 3 process tanks
- Operations building contains mechanical screening units, permeate pump skid, UV disinfection system, aeration blowers, motor control center, chemical and electrical room.
- New chemical feed pumps and lines for handling coagulant and alkalinity supplements, and membrane cleaning chemicals(sodium hypochlorite and citric acid)

Lakefield Sewage Pumping Station Upgrades Part A  
Location: Lakefield, ON  |  Completed: April 2019
Project Scope:
The work consisted of the construction of a pre-cast wet well which included an intermediate grated safety platform and access hatches, and a vertical watertight shoring system to facilitate the wet well installation. The supply and installation of submersible sewage pumps including base elbows, guide rails, supports, mix flush valves, variable frequency drive and pump monitoring units. The project also involved the construction of a pre-cast concrete valve chamber, including a bypass pumping connection and access hatch as well as all associated process piping, valves, instrumentation and accessories.
Ontario Road Sewage Pumping Station Upgrades  
Location: Welland, Ontario  |  Completed: 2016
Project Scope:
The project consists of architectural/structural works, new raw sewage pumps, process piping, and valves, new building plumbing systems, new electrical equipment, including MCC, equipment controllers, transformer, control panel and PLC, new precast generator building complete with new standby diesel generator, diesel fuel tank, etc.

Cobden WWTP Ugrades

Project Scope:
The work consists of a new 500 S.M. cast in place / concrete block above grade structure with insulated, metal siding, flat hollow concrete core-slab roof with insulation and membrane waterproofing. The work is to allow upgrades to the existing sewage plant operations and upgrades consist of the construction of two new 500 m3 /day packaged mechanical treatment system trains constructed in parallel to the existing WWTP in a separate building.
Kleinburg North Pumping Station

Vauxhall Water Pollution Control Plant

Guelph WWTP Digester 3 Refurbishment

Project Scope:
The work involves an upgrade to anaerobic Digester No. 3 and the Digester Control Building. The repairs will consist of both exterior and interior upgrades to the Digester and associated piping and auxiliary systems to provide a water and gas-tight tank, and modifications to allow for operation as a secondary digester.
G.E. Booth (Lakeview) Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements

Project Scope:
The work includes upgrades to the McGovern Sewage Pumping Station and associated works. The replacement of the submersible pumps, valves and piping within the wetwell, replacement of instrumentation, installation of new PLC control panel and associated SCADA programming, electrical system upgrades including replacement motor control centre and outdoor diesel standby generator, upgrades throughout the control building and other miscellaneous site upgrades are required. In order to facilitate the wetwell upgrades, a temporary pumping facility, including piping, controls and power for control and operation is mandatory.

Description:
The project involved the construction of an 16.25 m x 8.8 m x 9.0 m deep wet well and a 143 m2 building. Due to the tight restrictions of the site, soldier pile and lagging system was utilized in order to complete the project. Description:

Description:
The project involved removal and replacement of the existing dry pit pumps, process valves, instruments and electrical switch gear. The contract also required the installation of a new concrete valve chamber, HVAC upgrades, replacement of the existing flat roof with pre-engineered trusses and miscellaneous architectural upgrades to existing interior finishes. All process upgrades were completed while using temporary pumps and controls to completely by-pass the pumping station flow of 400 l/s.
