Lorne Thomas Pumping Station

Project Scope:
Lorne Thomas Pumping Station

Pumping station construction from empty field to service new residential housing development. The project consists of the installation and construction of a new pumping station including the installation of three dry pit submersible sewage pumps, all process piping and valving, the installation of ventilation equipment, monorail lifting system, process instrumentation, and a standby natural gas generator set. St Thomas WWTP Aeration Upgrade

Project Scope:
The Project Consists of the removal of two (2) blowers from the blower building and the removal of the existing aeration system and piping in Plants 2 and 3. The installation of two (2) Turbo Blowers and ceramic disc diffuser systems and piping for Plants 2 and 3. Beaver Creek Sewage Pumping Station  
Location: Waterloo  |  Completed: Sept 2015
Project Scope:
The project involved site modifications which included re-routing a 200mm diameter gravity sewer around the existing wet well, new water service, new hydrant, and additional asphalt for servicing the new valve chamber. Wet well modifications including the replacement of all inlet slide gates and level controls, and modifications to ladders, benching and piping in order to install larger pumps. Control building upgrades including the replacement of the existing generator, fuel system upgrades, and replacement of the PLC and MCCs. The installation of a new cast-in-place reinforced concrete valve chamber structure with flat roof, with motorized control valves, manual isolation valves, horizontal check valves, and flowmeters to monitor and control the flow of sewage through the pumping station in an operator friendly environment, with stairway access. The project also involved forcemain connections to the new valve chamber and the removal of the existing flow meter chamber and original buried forcemain piping.

Project Scope:
The Project Consists of the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of temporary pumping station bypass system, temporary winterization system (insulation, heat tracing) of
bypass piping/pumps to ensure freezing protection, new stainless steel piping, pipe supports, hangers and valves inside pumping station. The removal/demolition of existing slide gates, and replacement with new ones. The project also consisted of various minor electrical upgrades, PLC programming and integration services for new flow meter and relocated level sensors and the ccommissioning of station upgrades and removal of temporary bypass system.

   
   
   
   
   
   
Kleinburg Water Pollution Control Plant Upgrades  
Location: Kleinburg, ON  |  Completed: Spring 2017
Project Scope:
The project consists of modifications to the existing flow diversion storage tank including extending the existing diffuser piping and the removal of the existing chlorine contact tank.

The removal of the existing coarse bubble diffusers in the aeration tanks of the circular secondary treatment plant, replacing with new fine bubble diffusers and the removal and replacement of the existing circular clarifier.

The project also included the removal of the existing walls at the sludge holding tanks including sluice gates, piping, pipe supports, New helical scum skimmers in the rectangular secondary clarifiers, the design, supply and installation of the insulated covers at the rectangular secondary clarifiers and the removal of the existing water flushing system and replacement with new air scouring/flushing system.

   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
Medora Street Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades

Project Scope:
New Operations Building, including;

- Process tankage for biological and membrane filter treatment
- Existing process tank modifications for solids processing
- Modifications to existing Control Building
- Yard piping and new access road
- Septage/haulage waste receiving station with a VFD equipped submersible chopper pump
- 2 train biological treatment system, each train consisting of 3 process tanks
- Operations building contains mechanical screening units, permeate pump skid, UV disinfection system, aeration blowers, motor control center, chemical and electrical room.
- New chemical feed pumps and lines for handling coagulant and alkalinity supplements, and membrane cleaning chemicals(sodium hypochlorite and citric acid)

Ontario Road Sewage Pumping Station Upgrades

Project Scope:
The project consists of architectural/structural works, new raw sewage pumps, process piping, and valves, new building plumbing systems, new electrical equipment, including MCC, equipment controllers, transformer, control panel and PLC, new precast generator building complete with new standby diesel generator, diesel fuel tank, etc.

Description:
The project involved the construction of an 16.25 m x 8.8 m x 9.0 m deep wet well and a 143 m2 building. Due to the tight restrictions of the site, soldier pile and lagging system was utilized in order to complete the project. Description:

Description:
The project involved the construction of a new wet well and control building, installation of new submersible pumps, process piping, valve chamber back-up diesel generator, electrical motor control centre, control panels and instrumentation with PLC and SCADA integration. Directional drilling and installation of 1.4 km of HDPE force-main piping for the new pumping station was also completed.

Description:
The project involved construction of a new pumping station consisting of concrete foundation, masonry walls and wood framed roof. Description:
The project involved removal and replacement of the existing dry pit pumps, process valves, instruments and electrical switch gear. The contract also required the installation of a new concrete valve chamber, HVAC upgrades, replacement of the existing flat roof with pre-engineered trusses and miscellaneous architectural upgrades to existing interior finishes. All process upgrades were completed while using temporary pumps and controls to completely by-pass the pumping station flow of 400 l/s.

Description:
The project involved installation of underground chlorine gas piping, effluent water distribution piping, chlorine gas injectors and diffusers. Complete refurbishment of existing effluent water pumping station while maintaining continuous operation. This included the removal and replacement of automatic strainers, process piping, valves, pumps, electrical motor control centre, control panels and instruments.
